Adenium obesum JK
(This plant comes in a 3.5 inch pot. You will receive a very similar plant to the one in the picture. It may or may not be blooming at the time of your purchase. The plant is shipped in its pot to prevent any damage to the roots).
Blooming time: It is capable of flowering all year, even sparingly during the winter, but it is more floriferous during the dry periods of Spring and Autumn.
Cultivation and propagation: It is nearly evergreen if grown in a warm greenhouse or tropical conditions, but it can lose its leaves and be forced into a long winter dormancy in cooler climates.
Pots and soils: It like pots with generous drain holes on sides and bottom, needs a very porous potting medium.
Exposition: Bright filtered light is best but in areas where light is not as burning, plants may be kept outdoors in full sun.
Water: Water plants preferably in the early mornings until the soil is well wetted and let excess water drain from the pot base. Never allow plants to dry out too often as this causes them to go into early dormancy.
Drought tolerance: High.
Hardiness: It is frost sensitive and cannot endure freezing temperatures.
Bonsai: This Adenium is suitable for most bonsai styles.
