Obregonia denegrii, commonly known as ‘Artichoke cactus’, is one of the most well-known cacti due to its distinctive artichoke-shaped stem. This Cactaceae family plant is the only member of its single genus and is related to Ariocarpus. It almost always grows as a single plant level with the ground, a sunk and woolly apex.
