Cultivation and propagation: It is very frost hardy. Because of its compact size Plus its low water use and low maintenance.

Growth rate: Slow to medium growing but speeds up considerably given the best conditions.

Exposure: They do well in full sun or a lightly shaded area with afternoon shade.

Hardiness: It is one of the most cold hardy of the agaves, (hardy to -9/-18°C.This is a dwarf variegated Agave also known as ''Kissho kan Marginata' or Butterfly Agave. Originally from Oaxaca Mexico, this small agave can can grow up to 12 inches tall by 18 inches wide. Leaves are short pale green margined with pale yellow streaks and red spines.
Exposure: Bright but not full sun in hot climates as this will burn the variegated parts of the leaves. It is cold hardy to at least 25 degrees.
