Rhipsalis cereuscula is a shrubby cactus, and is indigenous to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America and is commonly found in Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. The plant has light green stems crowned with clusters of tiny rice-shaped joints. The stems are up to 3 feet long, and grows upright but becomes pendant as size increases. Flowers are greenish-white, often tinged with pink, bell-shaped, up to .6 inches long and .8 in diameter. They are borne from the terminal areoles and followed by tiny, white berries.
