This succulent originates to Cape Province, South Africa. This clumping and spreading succulent has long green leaves with red margins that intensify during the cold or the sun. This plant grows well in the full sun, or the shade. It takes water during the growing season, but can also withstand droughts. During the spring and summer various flower stalks emerge with small yellow flowers.

Recommended temperature zone: Sunset: 8,9,12-28, USDA: 9b-11
Sun exposure: Light shade to full sun, generally needs full sun part of the day to bloom
Origin: South Africa (southern Cape Province, Cape Peninsula)
