Myrtillocactus geometrizans is a member of the Cactaceae family. Native to Mexico, the plant’s dense crested form grows slowly but growing long is the key attraction. The plant needs adequate space as the roots spread with it in its native conditions, rising as high as 4.5 meters. The common name of this columnar plant branching very fast like a tree cactus is Whortleberry Cactus. It is winter-dormant and slightly frost-hardy. In early spring, it breaks into tiny greenish-white flowers. For optimal growth, the plant needs full sun to partial shade.
