Painted Echevarias - Echeveria nodulosa

Painted Echevarias long, green leaves are heavily lined with deep purple. If allowed to sprawl, it can reach about 8.0" tall, but it can be kept in a more compact rosette form with regular pruning. It is accustomed to direct sun in its native habitat in the limestone hills of central Mexico. Each spring or summer it can send up a 12.0" tall bloom stalk of pink to yellow star-shaped flowers.

It needs bright sunlight to maintain their colors and compact rosette form. Painted Echevarias will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures, they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny windowsill or under a grow light.

Like most succulents, they need great drainage and infrequent water to prevent rot. Water deeply enough for water to run out the drainage hole, then wait for the soil to fully dry before watering again.
