Also known as the monstrose apple cactus, it is a cactus with a branching, treelike form. This cactus has irregularly ribbed gray to green stems that can grow up to 15' tall, large night-blooming white flowers and edible orange fruits with white flesh.

Origin: Probably West Indies and or Venezuela, but cultivated throughout Central and South America
