Agave Isthmensis comes from the family of Asparagaceae and is noted for its common name “Dwarf Butterfly Agave”. A native of Southern Mexico, this plant reaches up to 12 inches in height and is winter dormant. The Agave Isthmensis plant has blue-green fleshy leaves with pointed edges.

The growth rate of this succulent is fast. 

Flowering

Dwarf butterfly agave blooms in yellow flushed rusty-red colors from mid-summer to early fall.
