Aloe striata goes by the common name Coral Aloe. It belongs to the Asphodelaceae family. A native to South Africa, the Aloe striata size is about 18 inches. The plant grows as rosettes formed by its red-margined grayish-green broad leaves. The leaves are toothless and when exposed to full sun, get a pinkish tinge. Aloe striata coral aloe is one of the frost-hardy succulents from the family. These are winter-dormant plants but grow at a fast pace. This Aloe species requires full to partial sun for the best growth. Between late winter to early spring, the plant bears numerous inflorescences that are marked by coral flowers.

The Crem la Crem of the Aloes

This plant is a real standout in the World of Aloes. They start out as most, hugging the ground ,but over time, will grow into a small tree. It has been one of my favorite Aloes, but not easy to find.
