Are you ready to add some sunshine to your cactus collection? Look no further than Dolichothele albescens! This little cutie is part of the Mammillaria and smaller Dolichothele genera, for this reason, Mammillaria decipiens subs. albescens is often used as a synonym for Dolichothele albescens.

Hailing all the way from Mexico, it is a clumping cactus with cylindrical spikes sprouting from its knobby areoles and producing gorgeous white-yellow flowers.

To keep this beauty thriving, it requires bright, indirect light during those scorching summer months, and can thrive in USDA zone 9-11. But wait, there's more! And don't forget about proper seed propagation - spread them across sterilized substrate mix, cover with a thin layer of soil, mist, and keep in warm temperatures for optimal germination (70-80°F is perfect!).

Once they've popped up like springtime daisies, give them some love by misting or bottom watering when their soil is almost dry. Just remember not to leave them too long in the shade; too much darkness will stunt their growth!

With just a bit of care and attention, you'll have an adorable Dolichothele albescens addition to your plant family that's sure to turn heads!
