Euphorbia acrurensis or Euphorbia abyssinica is also known as Desert Candle or Candelabra Spurge. Belonging to the Euphorbiaceae family, the succulent is native to Ethiopia and Sudan. This cadlestick-like plant reaches a maximum height of 33 feet and goes dormant in winter.

Growth Rate

The Euphorbia acrurensis growth rate is a moderately fast, and will quickly become a significant and showy landscape masterpiece in just 3-5 years.

Flowering

The Euphorbia acrurensis flowers are small and purple. These flowers are without petals but surrounded by noticeable yellow bracts.

Watering and Feeding

Approximately water the plant 8 ounces every week. Ensure that water is spread all around the center of the plant. You can use diluted cacti fertilizer once a month or during the spring through the early fall growing season to ensure better Euphorbia abyssinica care.
