Originary from Cuba, also known as Dwarf Turk's-cap cactus, this beautiful looking cactus can reach up to 2.8 - 3.5" in height and 3" in diameter. It is a cactus in the genus Melocactus belonging to the family Cactaceae. The epithet matanzanus is derived from the Cuban province of Matanzas.
