Gymnocalycium mihanovichii Hibotan is known by its common name “Moon Cactus”.

The unique cacti lack chlorophyll and, therefore, and as a result this grafted cactus variety has a purple color. Due to a severe Lack of chlorophyll and as a result, this moon cactus cannot survive independently, and the has to be grafted onto another cactus that appears in a globular shape on the top.

Belonging to the Cactaceae family, this winter dormant succulent is characterized by a slow growth rate. Its origin can be traced to Argentina. Reluctant to full sun exposure, the cacti require deep shade to grow healthily to their full height of 3 to 5 cm.
