Gymnocalycium mihanovichii hibotam yellow has the common name ‘Powderpuff cactus.’ Belonging to the Cactaceae family, Gymnocalycium mihanovichii cactus is popular and prized amongst collectors. The funnel/bell-shaped cacti usually grow up to a height of 1 foot. The origin of the succulent can be traced to Mexico. The growth rate is fast and rapid, with tiny roundish offsets circling the parent plant. The plant is usually blue or green, with white hair covering the entire cactus. The spines are quite sharp, even if the overall look is fluffy. This summer-dormant plant requires partial shade sun exposure to grow profoundly.
