Opuntia cochenillifera variegata is native to Mexico and is well known for its common name “Cochineal Nopal Cactus”. This plant's botanical name is ‘Sunburst’ and it grows up to 50 cm in height. Belonging to the Cactaceae family, this cactus does not occur naturally in the wild and grows in the nursery.
