Wigginsia pauciareolatus

(This plant comes in a 3.5" pot. You will receive a very similar plant to the one in the picture. It may or may not be blooming at the time of your purchase. The plant is shipped in its pot to prevent any damage to the roots).

This bright or dark green globose, is a short cylindrical plant that can grow up to 7" tall, and 6" in diameter. The apex is depressed and filled with whitish-grey wool. It will bloom with Lemon yellow with glossy petals (sometime shaded with pink), flowers up to about 1 in diameter, and standing near the top, decorated with about 8 to 10 red pistil lobes which emphasize the yellow of the petals.

Blooming season: They bloom annually around July.
Recommended temperature zone: USDA: 9b-11
Sun exposure: Light shade
Origin: Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina
Growth habits: Usually solitary, up to 8" tall (20 cm), 6" in diameter (15 cm)
Watering needs: Regular water in summer. Keep rather dry in winter, rot easily if the substrate is wet and cold, tends to lose its roots in winter.

Healthy plant and came quickly along with 2 other cactus. Was somewhat disappointed that it was not as developed as I'd hoped. The pictures show much more developed caps. Nice plant, just a little disappointed.

Great plants

There plants and there operation are top notch! These are people who truly love there cacti and succulents. I happen to be just like them. At 7yrs old I was hospitalized for 2 months isolation with 3 cacti as gift. I am now 61yo ultra- marathoner but there is nothing more than I love ithan cacti plants and that includes my wife
