Astrophytum Ornatum goes by the common name “Monk’s Hood”. It is a cylindrical to columnar cactus that is star-shaped from above and has white bands of woolly scales. It is also known as the Bishop’s Cap. The plant has its origin in Mexico and belongs to the family of Cactaceae.
