This is a rare, compact succulent native to Ethiopia's Tigray region. Some of the easiest and care-free Euphorbias to grow, both in pots and in the ground in areas with a mild climate, but they can even be grown indoors. Featuring mounding, four-sided, spiny green stems and small yellow flowers. Thrives in full, direct sun to partial shade, which helps maintain its compact, mounding form. They are drought-tolerant once established. Allow soil to dry completely between waterings, especially in winter when it goes dormant. It is ideal for containers or dry gardens, growing to roughly 12–18 inches tall and wide. They grow well in a very draining mineral potting substrate, but they aren't picky about soil. During the summer they enjoy average feeding and watering. Suitable for USDA Zones 9a-11b; keep protected from freezing temperatures. They will rapidly mound, branch and spread. These are widely adaptable, able to take full sun once acclimated.
