Notocactus uebelmannianus f. inermis has its origin in Brazil. It is a fast-growing variety that can reach a height of 12 cm. The stem of this species is lustrous dark green and spherical. It has a rich green tint with a shimmer.

Notocactus uebelmannianus flower has a variety of colors from cream to wine red to deep magenta tints to it. The blooms appear from spring to early summer.

Water regularly from spring through autumn. Make sure not to overwater this variety. It is advised to keep this cactus dry during the resting period in winter.

Soil
Notocactus uebelmannianus inermis requires a regular cactus mix soil that drains well. Avoid limestone-rich substrata and go for compost with a low pH.

Hardiness
These cacti belong to the hardiness zone of 9b to 11b. They cannot tolerate extreme cold conditions with temperatures less than -4° C (24.8° F).

Notocactus uebelmannianus size is small and it stands out with colorful blooms. It thrives happily in the shade or filtered light. Direct sunlight can lead to burns so abstain from placing it in a sunny spot.
