A plant can display a typical form of conical segments or monstrous with fan shaped or branching finger like stems. It is possible for it to grow and have all forms in one single plant.
Cultivation and Propagation: This mountain cactus - because of the elongated fat taproot - needs deep pots and a well drained mineral potting mix. Need a sufficient amount of air. They are susceptible to overwatering, but need enough water during vegetation and require a dry winter rest.

Sun Exposure: Need a good amount of sun.
Origin: Argentina
Hardiness: -5°C to 23°F
Sun exposure: Full sun (good air ventilation)
Watering needs: moderate (root rot prone) dry in winter
