This cacti have very tuberous root that remains half buried and grows dozens of segments. It is unique in the way it forms multiple clones of heads and blooms with flowers that range from brown to deep rose red to a pale yellowish rose. It is rare, but possible with almost white and the spines bend toward the plants body.
